lots of catch up stuff

this is going to be a whole bunch of rambling and then a bunch of pictures I've been meaning to put up

So yeah hi again... Birgitta came to visit, which was fun. We drove up to Eagles Mere and goofed around and then drove over to the Jersey shore, Pt. Pleasant to be specific, which was incidentally quite pleasant. Man i love abandoned beach towns. We drove through Wildwood which was so cool now that the boardwalk was all closed for the winter and there was no one there. I used to go there during the summers, and it's so weird to be able to drive the strip and not get stopped at every traffic light or with random people crossing the road everywhere. One of Geeter's friends came and ate breakfast with us, after driving down from Newark, which was really nice. He's a pilot for Continental airlines and is hysterically funny. Eventually we took the Cape May-Lewes ferry back across and drove through Delaware with the world's WORST windshield wipers. We got totally lost because of them too and ended up in Dover which worked out great because we found a Wal-Mart and replaced them... it was like some miracle had descended upon our eyes and suddenly we weren't blind anymore... truly amazing what effective wipers can do. We got back to DC late and then spent the next day shopping, my god that girl can buy shoes. 4 pairs later we finally stopped. We went out to dinner later with another friend of hers who goes to Georgetown Med School. He was nice too, a bit bland though. Finally, her last day Birgitta dragged me up to the Bethesda Medical Center on a really pointless wild goose chase. She could have answered all her questions just by calling, and she didn't even get any answered by going. Whatever... Then I dropped her off at the airport. And honestly, I was a little relieved. She's so fucking intense because of dental school and can't seem to relax at all. And I think we might be growing apart a little. She's way more conservative than I remember, and she's getting a little judgemental about other's views.

Sharon and Aaron... she was my trainer/friend/dad's boss and he's her fiancee, and he was so amazingly trashed here, it was great.

This past weekend my mom, morris and I all went up Eagles Mere again and we went and hiked this awesome trail near all these waterfalls. It was so pretty. And the weather was fantastic. I mean high 70's this time of year on that mountain is highly unusual... but awesome. If this keeps up I don't think my florida withdrawal will be all that bad. I also got to see one of my old friends Amanda, and I had amazing timing too, she had just come up from North Carolina and was getting her stuff to move up to Boston, where she has a new job. So, what's up with everyone I know  moving to Boston? Is this some cosmic sign? Not like I don't already want to go up there, maybe I can find a cool federal government job there next year or something. We'll have to see about the whole winter thing though. Anywho, so my mom and I are joining Amanda and her family in the Outer Banks for Thanksgiving, which I'm so so so stoked about.

So I saw the movie Thumbsucker tonight... It was really good. I really recommend seeing it. Here's the trailer if you need more convincing. I love the actor that plays Justin... oh my god, the hair... so cute. And for once Vince Vaughan isn't a complete jackass doing slapstick humor. And Keanu Reeves doesn't have the leading role in something as well. But yeah, go see it, kinda makes you want to go suck your thumb just for old times sake.
